French Institute of Athens
The Herakleidon Museum and the French Institute in Athens organized a lecture which will take place at the Auditorium of the French Institute on Monday, February 8th 2010 at 20:30. The lecture was dedicated to the French impressionistic artist Edgar Degas.
This lecture was organized on the occasion of the exhibition “The Complete Sculptures of Edgar Degas” at the Herakleidon Museum.

About Anna Moschona-Kalamara She works as a sculptor and has written a professor’s book on the teaching of art in secondary education. She has worked as a teacher in primary, secondary and higher education and is president of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
Ms. Moschona-Kalamara is a lifetime president of the Dimitrios Kalamaras Foundation which is a National Bequest and the only foundation in Greece that aims to promote artistic education and research in the Instructive Methodology of Art.
Her work can be found in the Municipalities of Nea Erithrea, Aghia Paraskevi, Aghios Dimitrios, in Serres and in Syros.
Next event related to the exhibition of Edgar Degas at the Auditorium of the French Institute:
March 8, 2010, 8:30 p.m.: Lecture to be given by the art historian Ms. Irini Orati, curator of the collection of Alpha Bank, on the subject “The return of the female figure. Greek painting after 1990”. The lecture is being organized on the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day.
